Who We Are

Tacoma Tactical Group was founded with a singular purpose — to walk alongside Indigenous communities as respectful partners in safety, healing, and self-determination.

About

Co-founders Dallas Fitzgerald and Josh Stauffer bring tactical expertise and a deep respect for Indigenous cultures and sovereignty. As non-Indigenous partners, we acknowledge the historic injustices faced by First Nations and are committed to doing better. Our work is guided by humility, integrity, and the principles outlined in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.

We specialize in tactical surveillance and safety services that center community voices and cultural values. Our goal is not to lead but to support and to offer expertise in ways that empower communities without imposing outside agendas.

Every project begins with consultation and consent. We follow the leadership of tribal councils and work collaboratively with local programs, elders, and organizations. We are committed to continuous learning and approach every partnership as guests on sacred land.

Our mission

Our mission is to provide tactical and surveillance solutions that empower the people of the nation to address their unique safety and security needs while respecting their cultural values and traditions.

We believe that technology, when used thoughtfully and collaboratively, can be a powerful tool for healing, protection, and empowerment. However, we also recognize that technology alone is not the answer. True progress requires a commitment to understanding historical context, listening to community voices, and working in partnership with First Nation leaders and organizations toward the shared goal of strengthening both community and relationships.

As an organization outside the immediate community, we are positioned to engage without bias toward favoritism or nepotism that may already exist within the community.

Our approach

Respect for Sovereignty

We operate under the direction of the tribal council, ensuring that our work aligns with the priorities and values of the communities we serve. We do not impose solutions; instead, we offer our expertise as a resource to support Indigenous-led initiatives.

Empowerment

Our goal is to build capacity within communities, ensuring that our surveillance solutions are sustainable and that community members have the skills and resources to maintain and adapt them over time.

Collaboration

We believe in the power of partnership. We collaborate with existing community organizations, programs, and policing services to create holistic solutions that address the root causes of challenges such as drug use, violence, and systemic inequities.

Our process includes being accountable to the tribal council, department heads, and the people of the community through regular updates and consultation. We actively listen to community members at all levels to address their concerns and help achieve the objectives set by the tribal council.

Cultural Humility

We approach this work with humility, recognizing that we are guests in the community. We are committed to ongoing learning and unlearning, and we seek guidance from elders, knowledge keepers, and community members to ensure our work is culturally appropriate and respectful.

Our goal is to continuously deepen our understanding of the culture and the unique challenges experienced by your community.

Your Safety is Our Commitment

Whether you’re seeking surveillance support, emergency response assistance, or culturally aligned safety planning, we are here to serve. Let’s work together to protect what matters most.
